Sailing to Australia

Been busy with NZ Customs over arranging to get my Father’s Rifle returned to him as he is about to clear customs at Opua in the bay of Islands to Sail to Lord Howe and then on to his home in Mooloolaba on his 34 ft Yacht Rainbow, The last two summers he has sailed over to spend summer with us sailing the Hauraki Gulf (he in his boat my family and I in ours), He expects to be back next year, Not too bad for a man on the pension. This year he sailed via Noumea and New Caledonia and we only just missed spending time with him at Tana Island but schedules didn't coincide due to weather, we did pass about 15 nm from him as we were heading back to New Zealand in Late November after clearing customs but could not raise him on the radio and were in 5-6 mt seas and 40 knot winds at night so did not attempt a rendezvous. As an aside to this blog I may add posts about his progress

Rover Final bit

The last Bit for my car sorted today I hope , after 4 years and much fun my daily driver now is to have the last irritation sorted. The Choke cable slides in and makes starting the car awkward.

After a lot of work on the engine last year I promised I would fix this, but with winter now approaching it is a now task.
